BASIC TUTORIAL AND DETAILS ON HOW TO START USING IT

USING BLENDER GAME ENGINE TO SHOW COASTAL MARITIME FEATURES OF INTEREST
Based on approximate details up to just over two centuries ago

On my site you can read details about the past shown with screenshots and  content made  with Blender, the open source 3D content creation program. This again is something to read at your leisure and also the same applies to me writing up the details and making the content. Please note though all details and dates may be approximate, and any content  shown in the screenshots is just my own interpretation of times of up to 200 years ago, possibly also some guesswork as many things no longer exist.

The second part relates to mainly inexpensive old or vintage postal history, postcard, covers and coins, in small lots - also part exchange - sent to the UK only.

Thanks....Barry

River Mersey and docks layout of c1800. Description with screenshots. I used Blender the open source 3D content creation program to make the route and content shown in the reduced size screenshots. Scale area of my routes up to about 20,000 metres or 12 miles. All descriptions and dates may be approximate or guesswork,  and content shown in the screenshots is just my own interpretation of a time up to approx. two centuries ago. The Terrain and river are based on satellite data. Docks, etc based on plans or guesswork as much no longer exists.
I will also include some details of seperate features of objects including some details of how they are made with Blender 3D
River Mersey and Docks of Liverpool c1800 and Ellesmere Port Canal Complex     Page 1

The next section of approx 20,000 metres starts a new page and shows the area  after leaving the docks of Liverpool c1800, and heading out towards the estuary and the open sea. Page 2

Wirral Coastline, sandbanks, and deep water channels c1800. All very approximate or guesswork. Page 3

A seperate section for people who may be interested in using Blender 3D and its game engine and perhaps find it difficult to get started or to make progress.

This final section for Blender is about the basics to get started in making content,  then using a greyscale map in Blender Game Engine to make routes up to 12 miles, and I will detail how to get started it the Blender Game Engine and to get boats moving and perhaps tidal rise and fall of the water plane

Page 5 onwards will be just for any additional greyscale maps for approx 12 miles routes and also will show the dimensions that are required to be entered in the Blender Game Engine.  ** BGE05 **

A new section semi-technical relating to using Blender 3d Game Engine for maritime and canal simulations.
